Heirloom Apple & Pear Orchard Walk & Tasting: October 8th

We are growing over 70+ varieties of heirloom apples and pears in our orchard in Watsonville. I would like to share the joy of growing and eating them with you.

Please join me on Sunday, October 8th at 10:30 am for a stroll through our orchard. We will talk about selecting varieties, sources for saplings, planting apple trees, pruning, watering, fertilization, thinning and harvesting as well as common apple diseases and pests in our climate. We will also be tasting and eating some delicious apples and pears.

$45 per person which includes an 8 pound box of mixed heirloom apples and pears.

This event is recommended for ages 16 and up.

We will walk about a mile on a gently sloped hillside. Please wear comfortable shoes, clothing, and bring a sunhat, water bottle, sunscreen, a notebook and your questions.
