Farmer-Led Harvest Parties at Birdsong Orchards
To help ensure the best possible picking experience for everyone, Birdsong Orchards will be offering Farmer-Led Harvest Parties throughout the 2026 season.
This year, some of our stone fruit varieties experienced lighter harvests than others. To help provide all guests with an equal opportunity to enjoy the fruit at its peak ripeness—and to keep everyone informed about what varieties are currently available—we will be offering reserved harvest sessions rather than open picking.
During each Farmer-Led Harvest Party, you’ll join the farmer in the orchard to learn what is in season, where the best picking can be found, and how to select fruit at its peak. It’s a fun opportunity to enjoy the harvest while learning more about the orchard and the fruit we grow.

Registration Fee:
Adults: $10
Children: $5
Harvested fruit is purchased separately at current market rates.
Advance reservations are required.
We look forward to welcoming you to the orchard and sharing the harvest together.
If you are coming to pick fruit, remember to bring:
- A reusable bag to carry your fruit home or purchase one of ours at the farm stand
- sun hat
- water bottle
- sun screen
- sturdy closed toe shoes
- layered clothing
We have water bottle fill stations and drinking water fountains at both farms.
We will also have fruit for sale at the farm stand if you want to purchase fruit and do not want to pick it yourself. The Aptos Farm Stand at Cabrillo Cottage Farms will also have Birdsong Orchards fruit for sale on Sundays.
U-Pick fruit is only available at the Birsdsong Orchards Location in Watsonville.
