Summer Fruit Tasting & Farm Tours

Summer Fruit Tasting & Farm Tours

We have so many delicious fruits right now, I want you to taste them all!

I will be leading farm tours with fruit tastings the next two Sundays, 11 am on Sunday August 11th and 18th. We will walk the orchard. We will talk a bit about summer fruit tree health and care. And most deliciously, we will taste a bunch of fruit, straight from the trees into your mouth.
Each $30 ticket includes 5 lbs of fruit to take home as well.

Make your reservations here for August 11th

And here for August 18th

Everblooming Roses

We also still have a field of roses in their peak summer flush to pick and take home as well.
Come get a bucket!

A Brief Meditation on Soil

I was walking in the orchard one fine and sunny morning last week, and the ground was humming with life. I know in an abstract way that the soil is alive, sure. But this was different. We let the native plants grow up in our no-till orchard, and the native pollinators love it. They were humming, chirping, buzzing and singing with delight - it’s the most beautiful song.

I don’t talk so much about regenerative farming. I am usually either preaching or preaching to the choir. Living here on the same ground we grow food has changed my perspective deeply though. The daily and deep entanglement with the web of life is tangible here. From the smallest insects to the predatory coyotes who hunt here at night, I feel part of a living breathing organism that is our planet. It’s humbling and expansive simultaneously. Quite simply, it feels delicious and wildly alive.
