Tasty Persimmons - Shipped!

Hachiya is probably the most well-known persimmon grown in the USA. It produces large, acorn shaped, and very astringent fruit. Hachiya must be ripened to a pudding-like consistency to remove the astringency. Place them upside down on your kitchen counter until they soften. Alternatively, you can put them in the freezer to remove the astringency and enjoy them as no-prep fruit sorbet.

Fuyu is a non-astringent variety (like a Fuyu). It can be eaten crunchy like an apple, sliced into salads, or enjoyed with other seasonal fruits such as apples and pears. 

Saijo SOLD OUT is an astringent variety like Hachiya but with a far more complex and delicious flavor. They are my favorites. The Saijo fruits must also be ripened to a pudding-like consistency to remove the astringency. Place them upside down on your kitchen counter until they soften.

The enclosed fruit will weigh approximately 5 pounds. No substitutions or changes outside the options below, sorry. Shipping is included in the $60 cost. I will collect all orders during the week and ship on Mondays.
