I did something exciting today. I picked up a few thousand fancy daffodil bulbs. I'll sell some and plant the rest in the orchard. You see, daffodils are toxic to gophers and deer too. So they are the only bulb I can plant and not have them devoured as a tasty snack. Plus they are so dang cheerful. I needed that on a rainy day.

We got a good soaking of skywater at the farm today. It felt and smelled like autumn is finally here. The trees are shedding leaves and I am 95% done with harvesting (whew).
